Warrior
Warrior Project – High Grade Epithermal Gold
The Warrior Project is a high-grade gold–silver asset located within the Walker Lane Trend of southern Nevada, one of the most prolific mineral provinces in the United States. The Walker Lane hosts numerous world-class deposits, including the Round Mountain Gold Mine, Comstock Lode, Yerington Copper District and Candelaria Silver Mine, and has produced in excess of 50 Moz of gold, 700 Moz of silver and 4 Mt of copper.
The project is accessed via Poleline Road, approximately 25 km southeast of State Highway 361. The nearest town is Gabbs, located 32 km to the northwest, with the regional mining centre of Tonopah situated approximately 80 km to the southeast. Warrior comprises 260 contiguous claims covering approximately 21 km², including the recently expanded OMCO claim area located 5 km west of the main project.
Warrior is a large historic mining camp hosted within a substantial hydrothermal alteration system, prospective for high-grade epithermal gold–silver mineralisation, as well as skarn and Carlin-style systems. The project lies just 15 km from the Paradise Peak Mine, a high sulphidation epithermal deposit that produced approximately 2 Moz of gold and 40 Moz of silver, highlighting the fertility of the district.
Four principal historic mining centres—Warrior, Hillside, Cute Maid and Lou—are aligned along a northeast-trending structural corridor. Historical mining, particularly at the Warrior Mine, focused on high-grade quartz veins, with records indicating average mined grades of approximately 31 g/t Au. These operations targeted near-surface mineralisation, leaving significant exploration upside both along strike and at depth.
Modern exploration by Sierra Nevada Gold has defined a large and fertile mineral system. Detailed geological mapping, geochemical sampling and drilling have identified multiple high-priority targets associated with structurally controlled mineralisation beneath shallow cover. Reverse circulation drilling completed in 2022 and 2023 confirmed the presence of significant gold–silver mineralisation, including 17.07 m at 1.57 g/t Au and 3.43 g/t Ag, and 20.73 m at 2.13 g/t Au and 3.41 g/t Ag, with higher-grade intervals up to 7.76 g/t Au. Importantly, drilling has also intersected broad zones of anomalous mineralisation beneath post-mineral cover, with grades increasing at depth, indicating potential for concealed mineralised systems.
Surface sampling has further demonstrated the high-grade nature of the project, with vein characterisation work returning results of up to 74 g/t Au from historic mine dumps. These results confirm multiple phases of mineralisation and support the presence of a robust and evolving epithermal system.
The recently expanded OMCO claim area adds further upside, hosting additional low sulphidation epithermal targets adjacent to the historic OMCO mine. Initial sampling has returned high-grade results, including up to 6.78 g/t Au and 101 g/t Ag, with large areas of geochemical anomalism and alteration remaining untested.
With a combination of high-grade historical production, strong modern exploration results, and multiple untested targets across a large mineralised system, the Warrior Project represents a compelling opportunity to define a significant epithermal gold–silver system within a Tier-1 mining jurisdiction.
